TURNAROUND & RESCUE
Developing a series of "special situations" or "turnaround" strategies where the provision of "rescue financing" to companies undergoing operational or financial challenges on its own has not proved sufficient. Performance may have deteriorated, external or internal shocks occurred such as a loss of clients or key management figures or the business is simply in a downward spiral. Working with shareholders, investors or banks, we rapidly assess the key issues differentiating what is critical from what is urgent, producing a framework of 'Calls to Action' from which stakeholders can select one or more depending upon their own priorities.
Implementing the rapid short and long term rescue plans necessary for such distressed or “financially stressed” corporates. Many of these will flow automatically from the Calls to Action previously identified. We work alongside existing management teams or come in to partially replace key individuals ensuring that the focus is on business survival. Urgency is frequently key to whether a rescue plan succeeds or fails....top line, bottom line, capital expenditures, and working capital.
